RYAN

Hi, I am the author ( i use this term lightly as my grammar is atrocious) of the blog for my three characterful canine companions.  I decided to create a blog about my favourite creatures on four legs when the Covid-19 pandemic hit.  I thought this would be a productive use of my time rather than sitting on the couch numbing my mind to Netflix, plus the added benefit that I am spending almost every hour of every day in the company of dogs.

Myself and my family live along the Suffolk coast in a small town called Lowestoft.  Or as Gene Simmons (Rock legend - Kiss) called it "Gods waiting room" on his 1st and most probably his last visit.

I have always felt a strong connection to animals and nature in general, being in awe since a young age of the natural world and all its inhabitants. When I left school I began work in a wildlife park along the Suffolk coast and had some amazing experiences with the creatures and people whilst there.  However, none have given me such joy as spending quality time with my fateful mutts.

I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures/antics, interests and tips we've picked up along the way :)

DYLAN

HAIRLESS CHINESE CRESTED

Dylan is a hairless chinese crested, he was born in Norfolk and is 12 years old.  He has always had a bit of an attitude problem, however behind the barky exterior lies a soft little pup just waiting to get out. Unless you're the postman in that case he may want to kill you!

Having little to keep him warm in Britains cold winters he has an assortment of clothes and mum is always knitting him jumpers (to his delight - Not).

Although becoming more and more akin to a grumpy OAP, he keeps a close eye on his best pals Daisy and regretfully Arlo.

DAISY

SMOOTH COAT CHIHUAHUA

Daisy is an 8-year-old smooth coat chihuahua (going to be a joy trying to spell that). She was born in Great Yarmouth and soon after adopted by my sister.

She is probably best described as "chunky yet funky" being the only one who's gained her gold training certificate. All that grace and class goes out of the window when food is involved,  put a dish in front of her and she'll come running. Thank god for cordless vacuums following the post-dinner massacre.

ARLO

SMOOTH COAT CHIHUAHUA

Arlo is a 5-year-old smooth coat chihuahua.  He did not have the best beginnings and was in a bit of a state when I re-homed him 4 & a half years ago. However, like the ending of most Hollywood movies, I like to think he has found his happily ever after for the rest of his life.

I now understand the term 'lapdog' although I think it should be altered to "get out of my arse dog".  Sometimes I think he walks all over me...  literally half my life I am being used as a sofa.

He is a hopeless romantic who attempts to gain Daisie's affection.  Sometimes he's successful (mainly when food isn't around) but other times get the cold shoulder however, he is never undeterred.
